Aintoura village features the remnants of a Roman era temple, at an altitude of 1290 m altitude.

The temple is part of a larger site that holds rock-cut tombs and a ruined village of an unknown period.

Structure

Opened to the east, the temple rests on a polygonal shape terrace, delimited by an enclosure accessible through a monumental door, which two jambs can still be seen.

Due to illegal excavations by treasure hunters, coupled with theft of the temple stones over the ages, all that remains of the building is its foundations and its podium, made of an irregular structure using large or megalithic blocks summarily refinished, and the first base of its cella.

Deity

The deity of the temple is unknown due to lack of any archeological evidence.
